Street Coning Communication

The Redman’s first priority is always the safety of our participants and spectators.  Given that our Bike course is an “open” course, meaning we share the course with traffic, Redman Triathlon takes all possible precautions to aid in identifying dangerous areas and/or directing traffic out of the bike lanes. Within the Oklahoma City Limits we achieve a separation between the traffic and the participants on bikes via the use of coned lanes.  At times there are also cones placed in the lane to mark holes, and to ensure that vehicles do not enter the bike lanes.  Please be diligent in while in the city limits and watch for cones, navigate around them and stay within the lanes that they create for the safety of you and those around you.
